Smartrend Supply Ltd. was launched in 2004 by Kevin Smith, a Canadian entrepreneur with an eye for opportunity and a vision of success. After a tour of Chinese factories and discussions with his network of contacts, Smith was convinced that a global sourcing company that focused on quality manufacturing and was staffed by experienced professionals who delivered on a promise of superior local supply was just what the business world needed.

Since then, Smartrend has evolved into a flexible, dynamic company that is unmatched in its delivery of low cost, low risk, quality assured products directly to a client’s doorstep. The firm specializes in international contract manufacturing and general product sourcing, utilizing ISO-certified factories in such low cost countries as China, India, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil to produce products, components and complete assemblies.

At the heart of Smartrend’s success is its commitment to quality assurance. Taking ownership of quality on behalf of its clients, Smartrend relies on its own Quality Assurance Plans and its own team of QA inspectors to ensure that products meet expected standards of excellence. As a rule, Smartrend will not move forward with a project until it is assured that the factory that is matched to a client’s specific needs can meet expectations of quality, cost and lead-time.

Smartrend is headquartered in Winnipeg, Canada – at the heart of North America – to take advantage of a central time zone and the proximity of its logistics department to the continent’s transportation hub. The company also operates an international office in Ningbo City, China.
